Please complete this form to request a Blackboard Blackboard 7 is Emory's central online course and content management system. Documents, audio and video files, and animation can all be incorporated into an online class structure and the material can be offered via the Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Blackboard offers web authoring tools, discussion boards, internal messaging, test and survey tools, and user tracking. Tutorials are available from the Blackboard site at http://classes.emory.edu. academic course site and/or an iTunes U iTunes U is an area of the Apple iTunes Store devoted entirely to education, where it’s easy to download educational content, including lectures, 24/7. Blackboard Enrollment (You must complete this portion even if your request is only for iTunes U. iTunes U pulls its enrollment from the Blackboard system and models enrollment from your existing or new Blackboard site even if you are not using it. The Blackboard admins will enroll your students from OPUS into your Blackboard site and then iTunes U pulls this enrollment data.)

Hover your mouse over the question mark to see where your Course ID is located. The Blackboard course id is Highlighted in Red in this example. Your Blackboard Course ID can be found by accessing the Control Panel. The course ID is located at the top, to the left of the colon.

Yes: Blackboard Administrators will remove/recycle your students from your Blackboard site. We recommend that you download your gradebook and archive your course.
No: Blackboard Administrators will leave the present students in your Blackboard site.

*Automatic Student Enrollment:

No: Blackboard Administrators will not populate your Blackboard site with students.

What is Automatic Student Enrollment? Blackboard gets an automated feed directly from OPUS five times daily. Your course will be updated continuously throughout the Drop/Add period.

Roles

List other instructors, teaching assistants, course builders:
Instructors and teaching assistants have full access to the Control Panel. Course Builders have access to the Control Panel for adding content; they cannot access the gradebook or assessment engine.

Additional Comments

Your site will be set up within 2 business days. Email notification will be sent. Students enrolled in your course will not have access to your Blackboard course site until you make it AVAILABLE via Control Panel, Course Settings. For iTunes U requests, you will be contacted by an administrator in order to finalize your request.
